Mopidevi now a YSRCP member

Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana joined the YSR Congress Party today.

Mopidevi arrived at the Lotus Pond office of YSRCP and officially became a member. Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed him and his followers into the party.
Speaking to reporters, Mopidevi said that the ruling party was playing politics. They were unable to face Jagan and hence made him a scapegoat and got him arrested.
He further added that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has discriminated against him by not providing him any legal assistance.
Mopidev's brother Harinath Babu recently at an event, got emotional while recounting the injustice meted out to his brother by the Congress party. Babu had also deflected to YSRCP sometime back. He said that despite serving the Congress for more than 25 years, the party failed to take care of them when they were in trouble.
"Union Minister of State Panabaka Lakshmi had asked my brother to turn against Jagan and aid in his arrest. Even Health Minister Kondru Murali did not care about us and disregarded us when we approached him for medical help. I also held Kiran Kumar Reddy's feet seeking medical help for my brother, but to no avail," Harinath said.
"I have joined YSRCP because I believe in Jagan's leadership," Mopidevi added.
