Modi speaks to ailing Sadguru Sivananda Murthy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday telephoned Sadguru Sri Sivananda Murthy, who is seriously ill and is being treated in Warangal.

Modi enquired about the spiritual leader’s health and offered to provide special medicare. Modi also tweeted about his conversation with Sadguru.

Meanwhile, Sadguru Sivananda Murthy’s son and film personality Raj Kandukuri thanked the prime minister for his gesture. In a Facebook post, he posted:

“Just now we got a surprise phone call from Sri Narendra Modi ji, our beloved PM sir, who wanted to speak to my father Sri. Sivanandamurty Murty Garu, who's health is not good and is seriously ill. When We gave the phone to father, Modi ji spoke to him for about 5 minutes and enquired about his health and offered us all the special Medicare... I appreciate the humility and simplicity of our PM ji. Thank you sir...”
