Modi's swachh invite to Tharoor stirs hornet's nest

Through his seemingly innocuous Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Narendra Modi managed to let loose a bull in Congress china soup.

By inviting Thiruvananthapuram Congress MP and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor to be the brand ambassador of his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Modi has managed to confuse and confound the Congress.

Shashi Tharoor among nine eminent persons invited to come to public places to spread awareness about the Swachh Bharat campaign. Congress leader Rajiv Shukla had to move in to tell that Tharoor was not inching close to the BJP.

He said while the Swachh Bharat was a good thing, all Congressmen should have been invited. Incidentally, Tharoor had praised PM Narendra Modi for his speech in the UN general assembly.
Modi has invited Sachin Tendulkar, film stars Kamal Haasan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, industrialist Anil Ambani, Yoga Guru Ramdev and Goa Governor and author Mridula Sinha, Tharoor and the team of TV show Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma.
