Will they endure Financial Surgical Strike?

* Two films are releasing this Friday. Will they suffer because of the demonetisation of higher denomination notes?

* Will common viewer be ready to spend small cash for watching movies at the time of acute currency shortage?

What will be the effect of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise financial surgical strike on the filmdom? With currency notes of the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 no longer a legal tender, there is an acute shortage of liquid cash and those having notes of Rs 100 denomination might not prefer to spend them for cinemas.

The immediate effect would be on Allari Naresh-starrer Intlo Dayyam Nakem Bhayam and Naga Chaitanya starrer Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo, which would release on Friday. Will they be able to lure the viewers to the theatres?

Even on the sets too, where there are daily payments to be made to the technicians, junior artistes and suppliers, the producers are finding it difficult to arrange the money due to the currency shortage.
