A still from MLA

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's latest outing MLA aka Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbai opened in theatres yesterday. The film has been receiving a positive response from the audiences and fans. The film is directed by Upendra Madhav and also stars Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role.

The film makers of MLA held 200 premiere shows over in 150 Cinema Halls and it got more number of screens than other new movie releases Needi Naadi Oke Katha (NNOK), Rajaratha and Rajaratham. Thus, the film is doing unstoppable business at the worldwide box office.

The film has managed to collect $44,346 on its opening day at the US box office. Trade analysts predict that MLA would easily beat Kalyan Ram's last film ISM first day collections without any doubt.

Take a look at the tweet:

It may be recalled that Kalyan's ISM was released in the year 2016 only in 63 locations. When you compare that with MLA premiere shows it's obvious that the film can easily fetch good numbers at the box office. Kalyan Ram is facing box office competition from other low budget films such as Needi Naadi Oke Katha (NNOK), Rajaratha and Rajaratham and Nikhil's Kirrak Party. Kalyan Ram has only five days time to prove his stamina at the box office. It is a known fact that Next Week a Big Storm is set to capture the worldwide box office. And no prizes for guessing. Yes it's Sukumar's Rangasthalam.

The story of MLA goes thus...Kalyan believes Indu is the love of his life and that they are destined to be together. However, she makes fun of his belief and abandons him. But like they say true love brings you back together and in MLA too, fate has other plans for the couple.
