MLA Rega Kanta Rao resigns, Ponnala rejects

MLA Rega Kanta Rao resigned from Congress party on Tuesday.

However, Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah rejected the resignation of Kanta Rao.

Ponnala tried to pacify him by giving the post of President of Khammam District Congress Committee. Kanta Rao rejected the party post.

On the other hand, MP Renuka Chowdhury asked Ponnala to give the post of Khammam district party chief to Lamabadis only.

Union Minister Balaram Naik took him to Ponnala forcibly and also obstructed Kanta Rao from talking to the media. The residence of Ponnala became a venue for the incident.

Kanta Rao is so serious over the party for not giving him a chance to contest in the elections this time.
