MLA Modugula Injured In Bhogi Bonfire Accident 

Guntur: Guntur West MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy sustained minor injuries when he tried to save a person who caught fire accidentally at a Bhogi bonfire at NTR Stadium in Guntur on Friday.

Both the MLA and the other person are out of danger.

The MLA was participating in a bonfire celebration on Bhogi in the early hours at the stadium. The person poured kerosene into the fire to make it bigger. As the the kerosene can was in his hands, the flames that erupted at once swung back to the person engulfing his whole body. Other revelers including the MLA tried to put out the flames by removing his clothes. In the process, Modugula received minor burns on his legs.

Reddy and other injured were treated at a hospital and all are safe.
