MLA Addresses PV Sindhu As “Volleyball Player”

Hyderabad: Olympic Silver medalist PV Sindhu encountered an awkward situation at the 5K Run held on Friday in the Old City.

The MLA of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Mumtaz Ahmed Khan addressed PV Sindhu as a "volleyball player". The gaffe by the MLA recorded in a video has gone viral.

As shows in the video, the MLA thanks organisers and dignitaries present on the dais before the launch of the programme.

The MLA pauses for a while after taking Sindhu's name and cross checks with Telanagan Deputy chief minsiter Mahmood Ali who stands beside him. However, his cross check came to no rescue as he addresses Sindhu as a volleyball player. Interestingly, Sindhu’s parents are volleyball players.
