Missing Tiger From Maharashtra Not Traced In Adilabad

Hyderabad: The pug marks found in Kagaznagar area in Adilabaddistrict had not matched with the missing tiger Jai from Maharashtra, forest officials said on Sunday. The pug mark matched with other tiger which got photographed when it killed a buffalo and came back to feed on it.

Incidentally, the Tiger spotted on Sunday was also named as Jai after Telugu month Jyeshtha.

Forest officials had been on search for of Jai, seven-year-old 250 kg male tiger which had been missing from Umred-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, Maharashtra since April this year.

“Along with HYTICOS we have been monitoring the area and keeping a check to indicate the presence of any new tiger, said Ravi Prasad, forest department staff.
