Miscreant Throw Chilli Powder Into Cashier’s Eyes, Flees With Cash Bag
Gudiwada (Krishna): An assailant robbed Rs. 3.83 lakh cash from a cashier of a fuel filling station by throwing chilli powder in his eyes in Gudiwada of Krishna district on Friday.
The mugger came on a bike to Suresh Prabhu HP Petrol Bunk at Bandar Road in Gudiwada pretending to be a customer for fuel. Suddenly, the assailant sprinkled chilli powder that he brought along with him into the eyes of the cashier Mallikharjun Rao. In a jiffy, he snatched the cash bag from the cashier and fled away from the spot in no time.
After recovering from the attack, Mallikharjuna Rao alerted his colleagues about the loot but to no avail. The robber had disappeared by then. There was Rs. 3.83 lakh cash in the bag at the time of robbery, the cashier said. Victims filed a complaint and the police launched a manhunt for the miscreant.
