'Miscreants selective, targeted only defiant farmers'

Guntur: Strongly reacting to the selective fire mishaps on farmers who refused to part with their lands for the setting up the AP capital, YSRCP MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said it appears that the miscreants have set only the defiant farmers' crops on fire and left those who were ready to give. 

He said the attack was targeted and this has forced the farmers in other villages to stay awake and stand guard to protect their crops. He said the locals say that a group of at least 8 - 10 miscreants had set the standing crops ablaze, causing heavy damage to paddy stacks, banana orchards, horticultural crops and huts. He said the miscreants ran away when the farmers raised an alarm.
