Miscreants kill techie, son in Warangal

Unidentified persons attacked a software employee and his family in Sangem mandal of Warangal district on Friday night, killing him and his five-year-old son on the spot, police said.

The assailants, armed with knives and other sharp weapons, attacked Ashok, his wife and son at around 9 pm, when they were on their way back to Hyderabad after visiting Pallarigudem village in Sangem mandal. Ashok and his son died on the spot, while his wife was admitted to MGM Hospital in Warangal town with serious injuries, police said.
A hunt has been launched to nab the culprits. Ashok worked as a software engineer in Hyderabad and the reason behind the attack was not known yet, they said.
