Minor girl raped by neighbour in Telangana
A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in a village of Nizamabad district of Telangana, police said on Sunday.
The alleged incident occurred last evening in Wadi village of Vannazipet hamlet of the district when the girl was playing near the house of the accused identified as Gangadhar (24), a coolie, Sirikonda Police Station Sub-Inspector B Shanker said.
The accused called the girl in his house on the pretext of playing with her and allegedly violated her, the sub- inspector said. Following a complaint by the girl's parents, a case was registered under relevant sections of Nirbhaya Act and a hunt has been launched to nab the accused who is at large, the SI added.
The girl was sent for medical test. Further probe is on.
