Metro Rail To Be Flagged Off On Nagole-Begumpet, Miyapur-SR Nagar Routes On T-Day

Hyderabad: The long wait for the Metro Rail will be over on coming Telangana Formation Day. Preparations are underway at a fast pace to flag off the Metro Rail on Nagole-Begumpet (16km) and Miyapur-SR Nagar (11km) routes on June 2.

A team of stage government officials including chief secretary SP Singh, municipal administration secretary Naveen Mittal, GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy and Water Board MD Dana Kishore on Sunday examined the routes and facilities provided for the passengers at stations.

Explaining about the facilities, Hyderabad Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy said bike stations, skywalks and feeder buses are being provided to the Metro Rail passengers. The CS reviewed the progress with the officials and the company and issued orders to various departments to release funds and expedite the works to meet the June 2 deadline.
