Metro rail service from June, says KTR

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) KT Rama Rao said that Metro rail service would roll out from June 2, the Telangana Formation Day, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the programme.

Addressing a press conference, KTR said that 8 km stretch between Nagole and Mettuguda and 12-km stretch from Miyapur and SR Nagar is ready.

During a review meeting of MA&UD ministry in last week, KTR announced that government has chalked out a three phase plan for city's development. Some works would be completed within 100 days, some in three years and the remaining in five years, he said.
