Merger idea came from KCR, not us: Digvijaya

After being attacked by Vijayshanthi, TRS chief KCR now finds himself at the receiving end of Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh's anger. Singh on Wednesday said that KCR had categorically promised merger with Congress if Telangana was created. 

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, he said, "As far as merger issue is concerned, the statement had come from KCR, not from us. Now TRS rules out merger, that is an issue with them not with us."  

However, he added, "they are a political party and they have to take a call. We are open for alliance also. A group will be set up by Congress senior leaders from Telangana. "

He also welcomed the committee formed by TRS for alliance with other parties to negotiate with TRS.
