Mentally Disturbed Man Axes Daughter To Death

Kamareddy: In a shocking incident, a mentally-unstable man brutally axed his daughter to death on Tuesday night at Endrial village of Tadvai mandal in Kamareddy district.

The victim, identified as Sreeja, is a student of Class 10 in a government school in the mandal. On Tuesday, her mother Sayavva found Sreeja wrapped in a blanket. She thought the girl was still asleep and tried to wake her up. It was then that she found that the girl was axed to death. Father Balraj, who is suspected to have axed her to death, fled from the place.

The girl was still in her school uniform giving rise to suspicion that the murder may have been committed on Tuesday evening.

Sreeja's mother Sayavva immediately alerted the police. Tadvai SI Anjaiah and Sadasivanagar CI Nagaraju rushed to the spot and shifted the body for postmortem.

A case of murder has been registered and the police are on the lookout for Balraj who is at large. The reason for the extreme action is unknown. Locals said that Balraj, who is ekes out his livelihood as a farmer, was mentally disturbed and used to get enraged even for small reasons.
