Men Flee Village Fearing Attack By Female Ghost 

Nirmal: Ghosts and haunting make bungalows, neighborhoods and villages popular every now and then. Now Kasiguda, a small village in Nirmal district of Telangana seems to be getting attention for the same. Only women live in Kasiguda since all the men fled after the story of a female ghost attacking only male residents spread in the village.

What emerged as rumor first, the story of the female ghost gained strength after three men including two brothers were killed in three months and people started claiming that they were strangled by the female ghost. Most of the houses in the village are abandoned and people who stayed back sleep as soon as the sun sets and don’t venture out of homes before sunrise.

Strangely, women have no problem here. They say that no woman was attacked by the ghost. Those who stayed back in the village are only women while men in their families are living outside. In some cases, women and children also accompanied men fleeing the village. They are afraid to return until the village is free from the female ghost. Even police could not instill confidence in them and some efforts are being made to chase the female ghost away.

The ghost scare is not new in the villages of Telangana, but this is the first time in many years people have vacated their homes. The issue became a big buzz on social media now.

Recently, people in several colonies of Warangal town also spent sleepless nights, as the word of a ghost strolling the streets at night spread like a wildfire. The description of the ghost is as follows: 'female ghost' around 7 to 8 feet height, wandering in the streets of Kumarapalli, Kotthur Janda, Nayeem Nagar and NGO's colony in the night.
