Medical student hangs self in Nalgonda

A medical student of Kamineni Medical college, disturbed over his academic performance, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan using a bed sheet in his hostel room, police said on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Suresh, was a first year student. 

According to reports, hostel authorities found his body when they broke down the room's door. No suicide note was recovered.

A case has been registered with the Narketpalli police station and police are carrying out investigations to ascertain the exact reason behind the death. But his his parents have expressed doubts over his suicide.

The college administration refused to comment.
