Medical Colleges Should Upload Detailed Info By Oct 10: SCOCMCI
Hyderabad: Supreme Court appointed oversight committee on Medical Council of India (SCOCMCI) has directed the medical colleges in the state to upload detailed comprehensive information on their website including faculty attendance.
A circular in this regard has been issued on Wednesday directing the medical colleges to follow eight requirements such as students' feedback, students and teachers attendance, date and time of lectures etc.
The move was welcomed by Telangana junior doctors’ association (TJUDA) while managements expressed concerns over the circular
The circular was signed by MCI Secretary Dr Reena Nayyar on Wednesday giving colleges a deadline of October 10 and to have data in both electronic and physical form.
The move was welcomed by Telangana junior doctors' association (TJUDA) while managements expressed concerns over the circular.
One of the representatives of private medical association said that, "How the committee does expects to upload a detailed info on such a short notice as all staff will be on Dasara vacation."
They rued that all this while with delayed admissions process under Eamcet-III and NEET for the NRI and management category they had been busy.
Meanwhile, TJUDA state president Dr G Srinivas said that feedback facility is helpful for the medicos to post their problems so that the MCI can take note of them.
Incidentally, what would be herculean task is to upload monthly census data of all patients with number of admissions, discharges, surgeries, procedures and investigations in each department on the college website.
