MCA, Jai Simha, Raja The Great, Bhaagamathie First Weekend Collection
Looks like these days small budget film are making good profits rather than lavish big budgeted flicks. For instance if you take last year Mahesh Babu's Spyder and this year Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi were big budget films made around Rs 150 crores. But both of them proved to be duds at the box office within few days of release.
On the other hand, Nani's MCA, Ravi Teja's Raja The Great, Anushka's Bhaagamathie, Balakrishna's Jai Simha, Nagarjuna's Raju Gari Gadhi 2 and Sharwanand's Mahanubhavudu all were small budget films. But they had good content which made their respective filmmakers earn profits.
Though Nani's MCA had competition from Akhil's Hello and Balayya's Jai Simha had clashed with Pawan's Agnyaathavaasi at the box office, they have emerged as a winners. Nagarjuna's RGG2 and Ravi Teja's Raja The Great received mixed reviews from audiences but did good business on the first weekend.
Anushka's Bhaagamathie got solo release and she is been ruling Tollywood with excellent performance in the film. On weekday also many are seen rushing towards the theatres to watch the film, thanks to the word of mouth publicity going strong across all sections.
