Maoist top functionary Ashok surrenders?

Hyderabad: In another big blow for Maoists in Telangana region. Maoist top leader, brother of party chief Ganapathi and Secretary of Party's Dandakaranya Committee Gajarala Ashok has reportedly surrendered before the police in Hyderabad on Thursday. The police have not confirmed the surrender of the Naxalite
Most wanted Maoist Ashok was accused in many crimes and the government has announced a Rs. 20 lakh reward on his head.
Ashok, who hails from Velisala village of Chityala mandal of Warangal district, has been active for past many years in Dandakaranya and has reportedly surrendered to the police due to the health problems.
Meanwhile, Virasam leader Varavara Rao has demanded the immediate release of Ashok.
