Mangaluru Girls ​Beaten Up For Meeting Muslim Friends

Karnataka: Two college girls were allegedly
beaten up by
supposed
right wing Hindu organisation members for meeting their

uslim friends at a zoo in Mangalore on Wednesday.

According to the police, the girls, one a Hindu and
an

a Christian
are intermediate students at a college in Talipady. On Tuesday, along with some

uslim friends, the girls went to the zoo to celebrate one of their friend

s birthday

.
A video of the violence has been captured and released on the social media.
"They have been beaten up for meeting their male
M
uslim friends at the Zoo and we also retrieved a video of the assault which was shared on
the
social media," a police officer said.

The video shot by an onlooker, shows four men assaulting the girls and the policemen trying to stop them. Based on the complaint lodged by the two girls, the police arrested
the
two members.
