Manchu Vishnu files case against 16 for 'pinda pradanam'
Tollywood actor Manchu Vishnu on Thursday filed a petition in the Nampally Court against Brahmins who performed 'pinda pradanam' (rituals for the dead) for him in protest against his film 'Denikaina Ready'.
It is learnt that Vishnu had filed a criminal case against 16 people from the Brahmins community contending that that performing 'pinda pradanam 'for living people was a crime according to law. Vishnu demanded that a case be booked against those people.
The court admitted his petition.
Meanwhile, the High Court served notices to actor-producer M Mohan Babu and several others of the film unit following a petition filed by several Brahmin associations.
