Man attempts suicide for ‘Special Status' for AP - Sakshi Post

Tirupathi: In a shocking incident, a man identified as Koti, tried to immolate self during a Congress-sponsored protest on Saturday demanding special status for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Koti suffered 70 per cent burns after he doused himself with kerosene and lit himself. PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy and former union ministers Chiranjeevi and Pallam Raju, who were present at the protest site were shocked at the action of Koti.
Koti has since been rushed to the Ruia hospital for treatment.
