Man watches TV, plans bank heist, gets caught

Adilabad: The Bhainsa Rural police on Wednesday arrested a man for attempting to rob the Deccan Grameen Bank the on Tuesday evening.

As per reports, Mekala Rajender,24, the accused, got the idea after watching  TV  report which showed a recent bank robbery in Hyderabad where the culprits abscond with Rs. 32 lakh.

Talking to media persons,  Bhainsa Rural CI A. Mahesh said Rajender thought that by robbing the bank he could pay off his debts. He entered the Kubeer branch of Deccan Grameen Bank on Tuesday evening and tried to break the money chest. But he fled after locals raised an alarm. Police nabbed him and probe is on.
