Man tries to immolate over school fee hike

In a shocking incident, a local leader of the BC Sangham Siribabu set himself ablaze during the agitation against the fee hike by private school.

The incident occurred in Sangareddy of Medak district on Saturday.

Even as the agitation was on, he suddenly doused himself with petrol and lit a match stick in a jiffy. He suffered 40 per cent burns. The burn injuries were mainly in the legs and torso.

He was rushed to Hyderabad for treatment. The locals in Sangareddy have been protesting the hike in the private school fees for the past four days.
