New Delhi: Unhappy over the acquittal of an accused in a murder case, a man hurled his shoes at a judge here on Friday in the city. The police arrested him and sent to remand.

According to the police, Manoj Kumar of Taimur Nagar in south Delhi was a witness to the 2011 murder and became furious after Additional Sessions Judge Lokesh Kumar Sharma at the Saket court acquitted the accused. "Kumar was caught by policemen and other court staff on the direction of the judge when he created a ruckus and threw his shoes at the dais," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal said.
