Man Stabs Son For Asking Rs 2 To Buy Kite

Varanasi: A man stabbed his five-year-old son when he asked for Rs 2 to buy a kite on Sankranthi day. The incident occurred in Gunj area of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

Vinod Rajbhar (35), a resident of Gunj, area lives along with his wife Gayatri, daughter Komal (3) and his two sons Satyam (10) and Shivam(5). The family has been facing financial hardships. On Sunday, Shivam went to his father, who was drunk, and asked Rs 2 to buy a kite. Vinod took Shivam to upstairs and stabbed him severely. Another son Satyam saw Vinod stabbing Shivam and he alerted mother Gayatri immediately. Shivam was rushed to a nearby state-run hospital, where he received first aid. Later, he was shifted to another hospital for better treatment. Locals informed police about the incident.
