Nizamabad: A man reportedly sold his wife for Rs. 60,000 at Janakampet Village of Edapalli Mandal in Nizamabad District. The incident came into light late Thursday.

Maarutha of Janakampet got married to Raju of Armoor in 2006.
The couple has 2 kids namely Ramya and Navyameena.
Raju sold his wife Maarutha to one Mallayya for Rs.60, 000 and got married his niece in Medak and started living there along with his two kids and his new wife.
Meanwhile Raju’s niece also ditched him as she didn’t like his behaviour towards her.
Left high and dry, Raju went to his ex wife Maarutha’s hometown Janakampet and left his two kids and and the letters Maarutha wrote to him at the Sarpanch’s office in Janakampet and left.
According to sources, Maarutha’s parents identified their grandchildren and filed a complaint against Raju at the local police station. When the police looked into the issue, they found out that Mallayya, who bought Maarutha from her husband, had sold her again to some other person for Rs. 50,000.
