Man Kills Minor Daughter As She Gets Calls On His Mobile 

Vijayawada: A man reportedly killed his 14 year-old daughter after someone called him on his mobile and asked for the girl in Sainathapuram on the outskirts of the city on Thursday night.

Auto driver Ramana was arrested after the neighbors alerted about the suspicious death of Krishnaveni. The accused was making arrangements for the burial of the body after killing his daughter who was studying in class 10.

Ramana returned home in an inebriated condition and questioned his daughter about the caller. Even as she pleaded that she did not know about the caller, Ramana beat her up violently killing her instantaneously. After the girl was dead, he pulled the body into the front yard of the house and went out to make arrangements for the funeral.

The neighbors sensed something fishy and alerted the police who took the accused into custody and sent the girl's body for post-mortem. The case is under further investigation.
