Man Held For Posting Morphed Photos Of AP CM, Lokesh On Social Media

Chittoor: Close on the heels of the arrest of political satirist Ravi Kiran, a 30-year-old man on Monday was arrested for allegedly posting morphed photos of AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh on social media.

Basavaraju, a native of Kaliganuru village of Santhipuram in Chittoor district morphed the pictures of the leaders as if they were beaten up by women and posted them on social media. He also posted the pictures trolling the chief minister's Nandyal campaign. The pictures were posted on a page titled 'YSRCP unofficial'.

Based on the complaint lodged by TDP leader Subbu, the police registered a case and took Basavaraju into custody.
