Man found dead in cinema, body abandoned outside the hall

Eluru:  A man who went to a local cinema in Eluru, the district headquarters of West Godavari, found dead in suspicious circumstances during the show on Wednesday.

According to police, Nakka Rajababu (37), a resident of Pamulaparru village in West Godavari district, went to Surya Theater at Undi in Eluru to watch a matinee show. At the end of the show, he was found dead in the theater and the body was pulled out of the hall by the management. On receiving the information of their son’s death, Rajababu’s father Ramulu along with his brother Nakka Tataiah rushed to the cinema hall and lodged a complaint with the local police claiming the death of Rajababu was suspicious.

“Someone phoned us and told that our son died while watching the movie in the theater and the body was thrown outside of the hall by the theater staff,” said the father of the deceased. “A case of suspicious death has been filed and the probe is on to find the reasons,” said the investigating SI M. Ravi Varma.
