Man Attempts To Commit Suicide After Being Disallowed To Meet AP CM

Vijayawada: Of late, the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat building in Amaravati is turning out to be a suicide spot for many. A man attempted to commit suicide on Wednesday when the security personnel refused to allow him to meet AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

According to the police, the man, who was a native of Kurnool district, came to the state capital city to meet the Chief Minister. He initially enquired about the AP CM with the police personnel deployed at the outpost. Then, he sought permission to meet Chandrababu Naidu.

As the Chief Minister was busy in the Cabinet meeting, he was told to come later. Dejected over this, he consumed pesticide that he brought along with him. Immediately, the police, who noticed this, rushed him to a nearby hospital. Further information is awaited.

Just a fortnight ago, a woman attempted to kill herself by consuming sleeping pills after she was cheated by one Shravan from Vizianagaram. As she could not get justice from the police, she came to Amaravati to meet the Chief Minister at his chamber to pour out her woes. As the police did not allow her to meet the CM, she staged a protest and later gulped sleeping pills.
