Man arrested smuggling gold

Hyderabad: A man smuggling gold worth 30 lakhs was arrested on Thursday in Rajiv Gandhi international airport, Hyderabad

The passenger, identified as Mohd Mustafa from the city, landed at the airport from a Dubai flight in the early hours of today and was detained on suspicion, a Customs officer said. During checking, officials found 1.2 kg gold biscuits hidden in the passenger's shoes which he was trying to smuggle, the officer said. Mustafa was subsequently arrested and further probe is on into the matter.
