The potato chips canisters contained three cobras
A California man was arrested for smuggling king cobras camouflaged in potato chips canisters. The accused was intercepted by the US cutsoms officials who found a package addressed to be delivered to one Rodrigo Franco (32) in the US.
The officials unwrapped the package and found three live venomous reptiles and three albino Chinese soft-shelled turtles. The box was mailed from Hong Kong and the officials with a search warrant raided the house of Franco. They were then shell-shocked after finding a live baby Morelet's crocodile, alligator snapping turtles, a common snapping turtle and five diamond back terrapins. If proven guilty, Franco could land up in prison for 20 years.
