Mamata says ready to join with CPM to fight BJP
Worried over the rise of the BJP in West Bengal, chief minister and Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee made sensational comments that she would even align with the CPM to fight the BJP.
In an interview to a TV channel, the Trinamool leader said the BJP was hobnobbing with the Maoists to let loose a reign of terror in trouble-torn Jangalmahal area.
“Recently BJP supporters had organised a rally in West Midnapore carryign arms. They are also seen joining hands with the Maoists in Jangalmahal area," she said in the interview. She claimed she had pictoral evidence and intel inputs that the BJP was trying to create problems.
She even went to the extent of saying that she would not mind opening talks with the CPM to keep the BJP away from power. She said the BJP would be kept at bay come what may.
Significantly, Mamata Didi was the arch enemy of the Left and after years of a bitter battle, she ousted a well-entrenched CPM from the portals of power. Now, she says that there are no untouchables in politics.
Her comments assume significance as the BJP is on the rise in West Bengal and several Left party cadres are now joining the BJP to fight the TMC rule.
