Mamata's minister arrested in Sharadha scam
Kolkata: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested West Bengal Minister Madan Mitra in Sarada chit fund scam in Kolkata.
As per reports, Madan Mitra, is the fourth major leader in Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress. Earlier on the day, he was questioned by the CBI, which later arrested him. Before, CBI questioning him, he got admitted to hospital which was seen as a stalling tactic.
Earlier in November, TMC's Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose and MP Kunal Ghosh was arrested in connection with the scam. Former police officer and TMC vice president, Rajat Majumdar was arrested in August.
