Mamata govt denies permission to Amit shah's rally

Kolkata: Kolkata city corporation on Thursday decided that, BJP chief Amit Shah cannot conduct a rally in the city. The rally is to be held on Sunday.

The corporation authorities said that the BJP meet is being planned to be held near Victoria Hall and this would inconvenience the citizens. However the BJP argued that Trinamool chief Mamatha Banerjee addresses a rally every year at the same spot and when that did not inconvenience citizens, how can a BJP rally trouble them.
When asked about the same, BJP leader Rahul Sinha said, " this took us by surprise and am sure this must be the silliest reason ever and should be entered into the Guinness book."
