Malreddy to continue as Congress candidate from Maheswaram
The last date of filing the nomination papers is ended in Telangana region. But, Malreddy Rangareddy did not withdraw his nomination paper from Maheswaram assembly constituency in Ranga Reddy district.
As part of the seat sharing between Congress and CPI, the seat was given to CPI. But, Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other leaders talked to Ranga Reddy and gave him the b-form with some pre conditions.
The Congress leaders asked Ranga Reddy to withdraw his nomination papers after they talked to CPI leaders over the seat.
However, Ranga Reddy rejected to withdraw his nomination paper. With this, Ranga Reddy remained as the Congress candidate only technically here.
