Malladi Vishnu, who met YS Jagan at the Lotus Pond on Tuesday, said he would soon organise a massive public meeting in Vijayawada and join the YSRCP. Malladi Vishnu said he felt that in the current scenario, YS Jagan should become the chief minister of the state.

He said he had more than 40 year close association with YS Rajasekhara Reddy and that he was like his family member. He said he would feel very happy to work with YSR's son. He also said that his joining the YSRCP has nothing to do with the the sacking of Brahmin Welfare Corporation chief IYR Krishna Rao. He said the sacking was unceremonious and he had opposed it, it did not have any connection with his decision to join the YSRCP.
