Malla Reddy Engineering College Student Jumps To Death From Ladies Hostel  

Hyderabad: Mystery shrouded the death of an engineering student after he allegedly committed suicide by jumping from an apartment complex that housed a ladies hostel at SR Nagar on Saturday evening here in the city.

According to the police, the victim, who was identified as Anand(19), was studying B.Tech third year in Malla Reddy Engineering College on the city outskirts.

On Saturday, Anand, son of Chandrasekhar, went to the Rajdooth apartment near his house in Madhuranagar. The residential complex also housed a ladies hostel in one of its floors. Later, he jumped from the terrace of the building.

A severely injured Anand was immediately shifted to Apollo hospital. He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Following a complaint from his parents, a case has been registered and investigation is on. The police are investigating the likely motive of the teenager to take the extreme step.
