Malkajgiri police book case against Mohan Babu

  Controversy surrounding the Telugu movie 'Denikaina Ready' continues. At the instructions of the court, the Malkajgiri police on Monday filed a case under Sections 120b, 153a, 295a and 298 against film producer Mohan Babu, director Nageshwar Reddy, lead actor Vishnu and comedian Brahmanandam.

Meanwhile, several Brahmin organisations across the state are protesting against the screening of the movie that shows the community in poor light. Several members from Brahmin organizations met Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy on Monday requesting her to stop the screening of the film in theatres.
The joint action committee of the Brahmin organization demanded that objectionable scenes be removed from the movie. They have also issued a 24-hour deadline to the government to take stern action against the film crew. The members have also threatened to launch a statewide agitation if the government fails to take any action against the movie makers.
