Mahankali Rangam Predicts Prosperity To Telangana
Hyderabad: The Rangam of Mahankali at Secunderabad temple on Monday predicted a great time for Telangana with abundant rains and prosperity this year.
Rangam is a ritual conducted on the concluding day of the annual Bonalu Jatara at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple. Swarnalatha, who predicts the future of the state and people by standing on a pot at the end of the Jatara every year, said the state will receive good amount of rains and the people will be safe and happy this year.
The Bonalu jatara came to a close after the Rangam. However, the devotees will continue to have darshan of Ammavaru till Tuesday morning.
Speaking to media, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the feast was conducted smoothly and lakhs of devotees had participated in the Jatara. Responding on the reports of Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya's vehicle being stopped at a distance from the temple, Talasani said it could be because of heavy rush on Sunday and there was no political reasons. He apologized to Dattatreya, the BJP's senior leader and Secunderabad MP, for any inconvenience caused due to the act of police.
