Maha Shivaratri falls on February 13 which is an important religious festival for Hindus and celebrated with great fervor across India. Devotees pay obeisance to Lord Shiva and ardent devotees stay awake all night chanting the mantra and rituals to venerate Shiva. While as one gears up to mark this festival with fervour, here we bring to you five tips that will help save you from averse situations as told by a pundit Sushant.

1. Remedy For Sick Person

If a person is sick in a family, then one should perform Abhishekam with milk and ghee on black Shivalinga at a temple. After this, one should give 1250 grams rice grains on the Shivalinga and chant Mahamrityunjay Mantra 11 times. Later pick few grains of rice and put it in a white cloth, then wrap it. Place this white cloth next to sick person pillow. It is said that a person would be cured in three days. Once the person is cured, remove that white sack and put in a lake or a river.

2 . To Increase Wealth

It is believed that doing Abhishekam with sugarcane juice on the Shivalinga will reduce financial problems. And if one wants to impress Goddess Lakshmi and want their wealth to grow, then one should do Abhishekam with sugarcane juice and chant Shiva mahimna stotram 21 times.

3. Progress

If one aims to earn more respect and perform well in your job then it is good to perform Abhishekam with saffron milk.

4. Prevent Accidents

In order to prevent vehicular accidents, one should chant Mahamrityunjay Mantra while placing 1008 'bhelpatra' and 1008 'dhatoore' on Shivalinga.

5. To Ward Of Enemies

If anyone finds threat from their enemies, then one should place sesame seeds and urad gram while uttering your enemy's name. Secondly, at the outset of Shivaratri till 21 days water should be poured on Shivalinga and in the evening time diya should be lit up.
