Maganti Gopinath Meets CM KCR Amidst Speculations Over Defection

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad TDP president and Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath on Monday met Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office.The meeting is being seen not just as part of routine affair, but the speculations are rife that Gopinath is going to join TRS sooner than later. It is learnt that Gopinath is also bringing along with him another TDP MLA Arikepudi Gandhi into the ruling party fold.

How Many willl Remain with TDP

The TDP won 15 seats in the first ever Telangana Assembly elections and 10 of them including the legislature party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao himself have already crossed over to TRS. Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkataveeraiah, R. Krishnaiah, Maganti Gopinath and Arikepudi Gandhi are now in TDP. Among these five, Maganti and Aripudi are all set to join TRS during this budget session scheduled to begin on March 10.

For reasons well known, Revanth and Sandra has no scope of joining TRS, at least in the near future and they may save the party from extinction in Telangana.
