Madhapur DCP Assaulted Yogi After He Verbally Abused Me: Woman Techie 

Hyderabad: A day after Madhapur Additional DCP Gangareddy assaulted a man in connection with a sexual harassment case, victim Harika, who is a software professional, came out defending the accused on Sunday saying that he was a good friend of her.

In an interview to a Telugu news channel, the victim claimed that the accused, who was identified as Yogi Kumar Mutyala alias Yogi, was a good friend of her. Yogi promised her of giving a role in a short film. However, after a few days, he sent her a message seeking sexual favor if she had to get more roles in movies. Yogi also told her that she would get good offers as he knew producers and directors in Tollywood.

Harika approached the police after Yogi kept harassing her by sending casting couch messages. Following a complaint, The accused was charged under outraging the modesty of woman. The police arrested him and tried to counsel him. When he maintained silence before the SHE teams, the police referred the case to DCP Gangareddy. During the interrogation, the DCP lost his cool and assaulted him. A video of this went viral on social media.

When asked about the assault, the techie told the media persons that the DCP thrashed Yogi as he was abusing her verbally in front of the police officials.
