Love for Telangana 'peaks'
Hyderabad: To commemorate the first anniversary of Telangana formation, trekkers from Mahaboobnagar and Nizamabad scaled the highest scaleable mountain in Himalayas, the Stok Kangri in Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh.
The team comprising K.Ranga Rao, Bhajranj Kailash Sha, Kiran Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Ali Ahmed, Shiva Kumar climbed up 6,140 ft to reach the summit of the snow-clad Stok Kangri.
The team left Hyderabad on May 17 and reached Ladakh on May 30. They reached the summit on June 2 and hoisted Indian tricolour along with Telangana map.
The team reached Hyderabad on June 15.
