Hyderabad: In a tragic road accident, a woman was killed when a sand-laden lorry rammed into a two-wheeler. The incident occurred at Parimala Nagar, under Meerpet police station limits on Wednesday.
According to the police, the lorry, bearing registration number TS 30 T2115, lost control at Vignanpuri Colony and rammed into a biker. Death was instantaneous for the woman, who was identified as Krishnaveni (35). She was pillion riding while the biker Krishna suffered grievous injuries.
Soon after the accident, the lorry driver fled the spot. A case has been registered for negligent driving and investigation is on.
