Lokesh Conveys Wishes On The Occasion Of Ambedkar’s ‘Death’ Anniversary
Vijayawada: The slew of tongue-slips by IT and Panchayat Raj minister Nara Lokesh is continuing unabated much to humour of the public and to the chagrin of the TDP party cadre.
On Friday, speaking at an event to mark the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, the minister conveyed his wishes to all those present "on the occasion of the death anniversary" of the architect of the Indian Constitution. As soon as the minister spoke the words, the audience shouted back in unison that "it is birth not death anniversary". Correcting himself, Lokesh said "sorry" and corrected himself.
The series of gaffes by the son of the chief minister is becoming a source of embarrassment for the party leaders who attend public events along with the minister. Earlier, while taking oath as minister Nara Lokesh was the butt of ridicule for mis-pronouncing several Telugu words.
